Li Peng Comments on Publication on China's Securities Development
Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress, congratulated Friday the publishers of the publication called "China Securities," a book on the country's securities development in the last century.
Li Peng said the book describes the development of the country' s securities market growth in a vivid way. The volume as well gave a full-scale picture of the securities market in the past decade in particular, which reflected the great achievements the country has made in reforming and developing the economy since the country's implementation of reform and opening-up policy in 1978.
Li said the book would be a strong push to the country's law enforcement and standardization in the securities markets.
The book, in a chronological order, includes over 2,000 rare photos and pictures. It is composed of four parts: birth and rise (1843-1949), experiments and exploration (1927-1990), grand decade, and Hong Kong & Taiwan.
