New Blood Infused into National Women's Volleyball Team

China Volleyball Association issued a new roll of China National Women's Volleyball Team (CNWVT). To take the place of some veterans including He Qi and some others, Chen Zhonghe, the head coach employed a contingent of new-boomers to challenge Athens 2004 Olympics.

The average age and height of these players is 22.4 years old and 184 cm tall. Six of 19 are fresh players. As reported, CNWVT is scheduled to be on training from April 13 at Chenzhou training base, Hunan Province.

Following are the roll of coaches and players of the CNWVT:

Head of the team: Li Quanqiang

Head coach: Chen Zhonghe

Coaches: Zheng Zongyuan, Lai Yawen, Wang Baoquan.

Players (19) are as followed:

Chief attackers: Zhang Yuehong and Yang Hao (from Liaoning Volleyball Team), Zhang Jing (Shanghai), Zhou Suhong (Zhejiang) and Yin Lin (Beijing Bayi)

Setters: Feng Kun (Beijing), Zhu Yunying (Shanghai) and Song Nina (Beijing Bayi)

Outside hitter: Wu Yongmei and Zhao Ruirui (Beijing Bayi), Liu Yanan (Liaoning), Lin Hanying (Fujian) and Chen Jing (Sichuan)

Lower setters: Qiu Aihua (Jiangsu), Wen Nuan (Shandong), Li Shan (Tianjin) and Bai Yun (Beijing Bayi)

Libero players: Li Yan (Fujian) and Zhang Na (Tianjin)
