7 Killed, 11 Injured in Kashmir AttackAt least seven people, including a National Conference leader, have been killed and 11 other injured in the Kashmir valley since Monday, police said Tuesday.A ruling National Conference leader was killed by militants in his village at Latina in Badgam district Monday evening. Eleven civilians, including a woman, were injured when a grenade hurled by militants at a moving security vehicle missed the target and exploded on the road at Khadwani in Anantnag district Monday. Meanwhile, police repulsed a militant attack on their post outside a shrine at Bandipora in north Kashmir Monday night. Since 1989, some 30,000 people, most of them civilians, have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir. |
