Chinabyte.com, Yesky.com in Strategic Partnership

Chinabyte.com and yesky.com, two popular portals specializing in Information Technology (IT) in China, announced a strategic partnership Wednesday.

The move is to accelerate the development of Internet industry in China and provide more information and other value-added services to customers, according to an announcement on their websites.

"Our attention will be focused on more closer tie-up in data-sharing, market-pushing and technical support," said Li Zhigao, president of yesky.com.

He denied earlier reports that the two companies would merge. "There is a possibility, but it is too early to tell," he added.

The tie-up is also a tentative step for the advancement of China's IT industry, Li said.
