Academicians Join Hands with Entrepreneurs
Some 100 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) enjoyed a nice meeting together with the heads of 500 giant enterprises at home as well as 100 individual-run enterprises in the China Science and Technology Conference Hall in Beijing on February 26.
Brought with them to the conference are their achievements in the fields of electronics, information, biology, environment and others.
The activities held at the happy gathering by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the China Science and Technology Promotion, Development and Research Center and other departments concerned includes a series of lectures on scientific achievements, communications and other exchanges between the academicians and entrepreneurs in three days.
Wu Zhongze, Vice-Minister of Science and Technology, stressed at the meeting that China would emphasize on establishing an effective mechanism of cooperation between scientific institutions and entrepreneurs, promoting cooperation in diversified forms and ways and protecting the interests of both sides. The Ministry of Science and Technology is presently studying on relevant polices for promoting the development of sci-tech brokerage and consultancy to further broaden the channel for the transformation of scientific achievements to industrialization.
This is, as reported, the first time for so many academicians and entrepreneurs to probe together for a way of industrializing sci-tech achievements in China.
