Indian Surface-to-Air Missile Test-Fired
Akash, an indigenously built multi-target surface-to-air missile, was successfully test-fired Tuesday from the Interim Test Range at Chandipur-On-Sea, some 15 kilometers from Bangalore, the Press Trust of
India
said Wednesday.
With a range of 25 km, Akash could deliver 55 kilograms of explosives and had the capacity to strike targets simultaneously.
