Inner Mongolia Says to Stop Ecological Degeneration

China's Inner Mongolia will basically stop the current ecological degeneration trend in five years, said Uyunqimg, the autonomous region's acting chairwoman.

According to her, Inner Mongolia will build an "ecological defence line" for the northern part of China.

"We will put our emphasis on fighting such ecological damages as soil erosion, soil salinization, desertification, natural forest conservation and grassland degradation," she said.
