Sino-US Joint Development of E-business Management for Airlines

An e-business management software system has lately been jointly developed and put into operation by Computer Associates and China Southern Airlines.

With a growing business airlines worldwide all face the challenge of e-business, while the main problem lies in how to handle intricate business in different regions, according to a joint press communique issued by the two sides on February 26. Now air companies are still relying on manual work to deal with errors in computer system, which needs more time and is of low efficiency.

The new system "Unicenter TNG" is able to automatically manage web resources as software, hardware and systems scattered in different regions, detect errors in advance and offer immediate solutions.

Unicenter TNG can offer more reliable and steady support to airlines' computer centers, and help lower costs and raise their operating efficiency to a higher level, says a manager with Southern Airlines.

The "Computer Associates" is a world giant in e-business software, with a turnover of US$6bn registered for last fiscal year.
