Pak-China Cooperation in S&T to Be Further Enhanced

Pakistani Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) and the visiting Chinese delegation from the science sector Tuesday agreed to further enhance Pak- China cooperation in various fields of scientific research and practice, according to an official press release.

During the meeting between the Pakistani Ministry and the 6- member Chinese delegation lead by Wang Naiyan, president of the Chinese Nuclear Society and Vice President of the Natural Science Foundation Society of China, MST minister Prof. Atta-ur-Rehman stressed the need of a more active and meaningful cooperation between the two countries in different sectors of science and technology.

Such a cooperation will be realized by establishing linkages between institutions of international standards in the two countries in the identified fields, said the press release.

It has been decided that during the next three months the corresponding institutions of the two countries will exchange information to identify some meaningful projects on a joint collaboration basis for mutual benefits. Visits of the scientists between the two countries will also take place to work out exact program.

On the occasion, the Pakistani side spoke highly of the contribution made by China to the development of science and technology in Pakistan.

During its stay in Pakistan, the Chinese delegation will visit different laboratories and science institutions in Pakistan.
