Germany, DPRK Begin Diplomatic TalksGermany and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) held their first concrete talks on diplomatic relations in Berlin on Monday, a foreign ministry spokesman said.Results of the meeting will be disclosed Wednesday, according to the spokesman. The German government expressed its willingness in January to establish diplomatic relations with DPRK. The two countries now maintain official contacts below the diplomatic level. Thomas Wuelfing, director of the German Representative Office based in Pyongyang, said Monday that the two sides discussed practical issues, the Deutsche Presse Agentur (dpa) reported. On the agenda were the topics including the freedom of movement for German diplomats and aid personnel in DPRK, the news agency said.
