West China Int'l Afforestation Fair Opens
The West China International Afforestation Engineering and Seedlings Fair opened Sunday at Yangling, near this capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
More than 100 enterprises, institutions and research bodies from the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia and Taiwan have sent representatives to the fair, being held in the Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Zone, the only one of its kind in China.
The three-day event will feature an exhibition of afforestation high technologies and applications, technological trading and invitations to do business.
Meanwhile, a symposium on environmental reconstruction in northwest China will be held during the fair, the organizers said.
