Nearly 200 Reporters to Join Asian Forum

Nearly 200 domestic and foreign reporters will cover the upcoming Asian forum in Boao, in south China's Hainan Province.

They will come from Japan, Thailand, India, the United States, the interior of China, and Hong Kong.

At the news center in Boao, dozens of computers will provide first-class services for reporters, and the center can also ensure that the reporters will be able to send their stories on-line.

The "Boao Forum for Asia" will open next Tuesday in Boao, a town about 160 kilometers south of this provincial capital. Some 500 current and former government officials and celebrities are expected to attend the first session of the forum.

The Boao forum will be the first high-level dialog among all the Asian countries, compared with other forums like the Asian- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), according to a local official.
