International Vegetable Exposition to Open

The China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Exposition is scheduled to be held at the State-level high-tech demonstration park in Shouguang, Shandong Province, from April 20 to 26, according to Beijing Review.

The exposition is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT), the All-China Vegetable Basket Project Office, the State Agriculture Comprehensive Development Office and the Shandong People's Government.

To share "greenness"and build a bridge of exchange, cooperation and development is the theme of the exposition.

The exposition will set up four large halls in the main exhibition area and 10 display spots in the branch area. The items on display are mainly potted plants and some samples. Apart from boards and TV shows used for illustration to visitors, on-the-spot explanation and manufacturing will be on display.

At present, international organizations��including the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Bank and the European Union (EU), and nations including the United States, Canada, Russia, Australia, the Republic of Korea, Israel, Thailand and Austria have planned to participate in the exposition.
