Earthquake Rocks Southwest China County
An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Yajiang and Kangding of the Ganzi
Tibet
an Autonomous Prefecture in
Sichuan
Province, southwest China, at 08:09 (
Beijing
Time) Friday, according to the China Seismological Bureau.
The center of the quake was located at 29.4 degrees north latitude and 101.1 degrees east longitude.
In addition to Yajiang and Kangding, the shaking was felt at Jiulong County of the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Mianning, Yuexi and Ya'an of the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.
