Shanghai Ready for East China Export Trade Fair

Officials in Shanghai said Wednesday that they are well prepared for the 2001 East China Export Trade Fair scheduled for March 1-7.

According to organizers, more than 3,000 domestic and overseas enterprises will attend the fair and display diversified commodities at 2,800 booths.

The fair will be held in five exhibition halls covering a total area of 60,000 square meters and featuring textiles and garments, light industry, handicrafts, general commodities and overseas products.

The seven-day fair will be jointly sponsored by nine provinces and cities including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Nanjing and Ningbo.
