Work Starts on "Wisdom Valley" in Hainan IslandGround has been broken for the Hainan Industrial Park for Entrepreneurs with doctorate degree, in Qiongshan City, South China's island province of Hainan.The park£¬ known as the "wisdom valley", will be co-founded by 108 people with doctorate degree who have returned to China from the Silicon Valley of the US, the Qiongshan City Government and the Hainan Yuanshicui Development Ltd. Twelve hi-tech projects will be undertaken in the park. They will cover research and development technology on genic pharmaceuticals, organic food, medicinal herbs, aquatic products and information software, as well as the gene testing technique, the wire telecommunication technology and diagnosis on small and medium-sized enterprises. Also built in the park will be an institute of management on small and medium-sized enterprises, a club for entrepreneurs with doctorate degree, a central laboratory of the Research Institute in the park and a green food factory. The first phase of construction will involve a total investment of 50 million yuan (about US$6.02 million). The undertaking of the first group of projects will be completed by the end of this June. |
