Strong Earthquake Hits El Salvador Again

A string earthquake jolts the Central American country El Salvador Tuesday, the third time in about a month.

Reports reaching here said that the tremor, the magnitude of which was not immediately known, occurred at 11:37 local time (17: 37 GMT) and was strongly felt in the capital city of San Salvador.

The previous two much stronger quakes occurred on January 13 and February 13, killing more than 1,000 people and injured another 8,000.
