One Dead, One Missing in Freighter Explosion
A crewman was killed and one went missing when a cargo boat exploded at sea near this east China metropolis Tuesday morning.
The other seven crewmen are safe.
According to the local marine rescue center, the blast occurred at 0:45 Tuesday morning in the engine room of the 500-ton vessel, belonging to a shipping company in Fujian Province, also in east China.
There were altogether nine people in the ship at that time.
The cause of the explosion is still being investigated.
