Macedonia Supports Yugoslavia's IntegrityVisiting Macedonian Prime Minister Ljupco Georgievski said here on Monday that Macedonia supports Yugoslavia's territorial integrity and its endeavors to peacefully resolve the latest crisis in southern Serbia.Georgievski said this to the press after holding separate talks with his Yugoslav and Serbian counterparts Zoran Zizic and Zoran Djindjic. Their talks covered bilateral relations, the development of all forms of cooperation, especially in the economic area, and security in the region. He said the ethnic Albanian extremists' "ceaseless terrorism" in Kosovo was threatening the stability of Serbia and the whole region. Ethnic Albanian separatists seeking autonomy in Kosovo created a spate of terrorist acts recently in southern Serbia. They blew up with a massive bomb last week a bus full of Serb passengers, killing seven and injuring 43, half of them seriously. Three Serbian policemen were killed on Sunday near the Kosovo border when their vehicles hit two anti-tank mines in the Serbian village of Lucane, half of which is controlled by ethnic Albanian separatists. Zizic stressed that the region needs stability, which depends on preserving Yugoslavia's and Serbia's territorial integrity. Yugoslavia is made up of the republics of Serbia and Montenegro. |
