Reedie Impressed with Beijing's Bid Report

Britain's Craig Reedie, member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission, said he was impressed with Beijing's bid report for the 2008 Olympic Games Monday.

"Beijing's report is much better than I thought," said Reedie, IOC representative of the evaluation team, when he arrived at the Beijing International Airport at 6:15 pm on Monday.

He was accompanied with another IOC representative, Francisco Elizalde of the Philippines and National Olympic Committee (NOC) representative, Tomas Sithole of Zimbabwe.

Australia's Simon Balderstone, representative of specialists, and country-fellow Robert McCullough, who represents the International Paralympic Committee, followed at 10:40 pm with 10 of the 17-member evaluation commission in Beijing now.

The commission will start their four-day inspection of Beijing on Wednesday.
