Major Railway Tunnel Joined Up

The 4,409-meter Xinzhai tunnel on the Neijiang-Kunming railway was joined up Monday morning, a major progress for the successful completion of the railway in southwest China.

The railway, as long as 879 kilometers, will run through Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, and will become an express route linking southwest China with countries in southeast Asia.
