China-Netherlands Conference on Educational Cooperation
Loek Hermans, minister of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands, attended the Sino-Dutch Higher Education Matchmaking Conference Monday.
The conference is sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education.
Representatives from more than 40 Chinese universities and 20 institutes from the Netherlands attended the conference.
Hermans addressed the conference, and expressed wishes for furthering educational cooperation between China and the Netherlands.
The participants will discuss Sino-Dutch joint research in science, biological technology and medicine.
Hermans arrived in Beijing on February 19 and plans to visit Shanghai.
