Mori Cabinet Support Rate Falls to Record Low 9%

Public support for the cabinet of Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori has plummeted to 9%, the lowest since the cabinet was launched in April last year, the latest opinion poll by a Japanese newspaper showed Monday.

The Asahi Shimbun said the rate showed a 10 percentage-point decline from the previous survey in January. The nationwide telephone survey was conducted Saturday and Sunday.
