More New Firms Set Up in Macao in 2000
A total of 716 new companies were established in China's
Macao
Special Administrative Region (SAR) in 2000, an increase of 63.1 percent over the year of 1999, official statistics show.
Latest figures released by the Statistics and Census Services of the Macao SAR government show that the new companies involved a total capital volume of 217 million patacas (US$27 million).
In the same year, 111 companies were closed, involving a capital volume of 26.57 million patacas (US$3.3 million).
