China and Japan Build Ecological Village

The plan to build an ecological village jointly by China and Japan in order to develop the rural community economy and protect the ecological environment, is successful as demonstrated by Yi Ethnic Village in Simao, Yunnan Province, and this practice will be popularized in a big way.

The plan aims to mainly use pollution-free methane to build methane-generating pits, new-type pigpens, and solar power toilets, coordinated by a courtyard ecological economy characterized by "the cultivation of flowers in front of the house and fruit trees at the back", making the most of all kinds of resources in a cyclical way and thus effectively protecting the ecological environment.
