China to Issues Rules on Demobilized Officers Relocation

The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission recently issued interim provisions governing the relocation of demobilized officers.

The move is aimed at better relocating demobilized officers and helping them find suitable jobs. Starting from now, the relocation of demobilized officers will be carried out in a combined way of planning and personal job-hunting.

The 11-part provisions, in 70 clauses, gives detailed stipulations on the training, relocation places, social status, social security, and employment of the ex-military officers.

According to the measure, ex-officers under the level of battalion commanders and having served less than 20 years will continue to enjoy the ration allocation carried out by local governments.
