8848, Kelson Join Hands on E-Business Solutions
As the rumor is spreading that 8848.net (8848) is to purchase Taiwan-based Kelson.com (Kelson), the two announced February 14 that they have decided to form into strategic alliance to march on the e-business solutions market in the Asia Pacific region.
Tan Zhixiang, CEO of 8848, however, told reporters that he still could not rule out the possibility to procure Kelson at an appropriate time.
It is the biggest commercial move after 8848 regrouping. Kelson has got mature software technology and e-Marketplace solutions and the cooperation will help 8848 enhance its competitiveness while acquiring an enlarged market share in Taiwan simultaneously", he is quoted as saying.
Insiders told that it is the first and large-scale cooperation between IT enterprises across the Taiwan Straits, and also demonstrates 8848's attempt to look for e-market solutions adaptable in the Asia Pacific region.
As one of major e-commerce solutions providers in Taiwan, Kelson has reportedly achieved a monthly turnover of US$10 million.
