President Bush to Deliver First Address to Congress

US President George W. Bush will deliver his first address to Congress on February 27, senior White House adviser Karen Hughes announced on Wednesday.

The address will serve as the equivalent of the president's annual State of the Union address, Hughes said. But she declined to provide details about the speech, which is expected to cover a wide range of issues.

Bush, who was inaugurated as the 43rd US president on January 20, will submit a budget to Congress the next day.
