Canadian PM Visits Chinese Judges College

Visiting Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien visited National Judges College Tuesday morning.

He attended a symposium on judicial cooperation and judges training and delivered a speech in the college.

Xiao Yang, president of the Supreme People's Court, expressed appreciation for the cooperation between China and Canada in the judicial field, referring to the to-be-closed Sino-Canadian project for judges training.

Chretien spoke highly of China's judicial reform, and the successful cooperation between the two countries in the judicial field. He expressed his hope to further the cooperation.
