CHDTC Regrouped

CNHDTC (China Heavy Duty Truck Corporation), Shandong based, is lately reported to have been regrouped and built anew as a modern state-solely-funded vehicle manufacturer with five branches affiliated.

CHDTC, ever known as one "heading China's heavy vehicle industry" under a planned economy of the country, is to be a manufacturing base leading China's heavy-duty vehicle manufacture. But for various causes in recent years it had been economically in dire straits with a debt amounting to seven billion yuan. On account of this, a regrouping of the manufacturer was ordered by the State Council and backed by state policy since last December 28.

The newly regrouped auto producer will focus on developing special-type heavy-duty vehicle manufacturing facing increasing market demands. It is reported the manufacturer is to develop a manufacturing capacity of 10,000 vehicles and is expected to balance its deficits this year.
