Former Polish Ambassador Named Honorary Citizen of Beijing
Former Polish ambassador to China Zdzislaw Goralczyk was named an honorary
Beijing
citizen Monday by Beijing Mayor Liu Qi.
Liu said that as an old friend of Beijing, Goralczyk has witnessed the city's development and has contributed greatly to the enhancement of the Sino-Polish friendship.
Goralczyk said he would make more effort to further promote bilateral ties between
Poland
and China.
Goralczyk worked in China for 24 years, the longest-serving foreign diplomat in Beijing. He is now an advisor to Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski on Asian affairs.
Beijing has so far named 17 honorary citizens.
