The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) proposed to South Korea on Monday that their Taekwondo officials meet next month to arrange visits by their exhibition teams performing their native martial art, Seoul officials said.

Kim Mu-chon, an official at Seoul's Korea Taekwondo Association, said: "We need to review the proposal, but I believe there is no reason to refuse it."

DPRK's Taekwondo association chief, Hwang Bong Young, suggested to his South Korean counterpart, Kim Un-yong, in a telephone message that officials meet on March 12-14 at Diamond Mountain, a scenic resort of DPRK, Kim Mu-chon said.
