Mainlanders Return from Hometown Visit

Ninety-one people from southeastern China's Fujian province returned to Xiamen Friday afternoon after concluding a visit to their hometown of Jinmen.

The group spent four days and three nights on Jinmen island, located just a few kilometers off the mainland.

They held a memorial ceremony for their ancestors, celebrated the Lantern Festival with their relatives and visited local factories during their stay on the island.

The average age of the group is 70. The group was headed by Xu Wenxin, head of the Fujian Jinmen Compatriot Federation.
