CCB Set New Record High in Individual Housing Loan
Statistics from the China Construction Bank (CCB) show that the individual housing loan provided by it in 2000 exceeded the sum-total of the previous 10 years, showing a strong growth tendency.
According to the statistics, the CCB provided nearly 140 billion-yuan for individual housing loan, a rise of over 135 percent, and so the Bank is now enjoying a lion's share in this trade.
For to develop real estates business has been taken as a main means to stimulate China's economy, individual housing loan has come to the fore among all commercial banks in the competition for the business. Listed it as one of the pillar businesses the CCB decided to focus its attention on the individual housing loan, and therefore integrated the capital raising for housing, financing and settlement into one, forming a streamline service in the business transactions
As told by insiders of the CCB, while providing individual housing loan, the CCB has also set great store by risk prevention and post-loan management. In 2000, the CCB conducted an overall investigation on the risk of individual loan and started to work out a handbook in relation to the method of management and operation, thereby reducing the internal management risk in the business to the minimum.
