Zhongguancun Fair Links Enterprises, InvestorsIn order to display projects of the Zhongguancun High-Tech Park and attract capital, the 2001 Zhongguancun Project Presentation and Investment Fair was held from January 9 to 10 at the Beijing New Century Hotel. It provided an opportunity for high-tech enterprises and investors to communicate, according to Beijing Review.The fair attracted more than 300 projects from institutes, post-secondary schools, high-tech enterprises and students studying abroad. The projects covered five fields involving the convergence of IT and biomedicine in which China is encouraging development. Among them, micro-electronic technology, biomedicine and genetic technology presented the most advanced proposals. The projects consisted of 25 included in the national 863 Plan, 60 from returned students studying abroad, 60 from post-secondary schools, 66 from the China Academy of Sciences, 120 from other businesses and 11/key projects of the Zhongguancun High-Tech Park. The conference sponsors invited more than 300 investing enterprises to attend. |
