Putin, Blair Hold Telephone Talk on Bilateral Cooperation
Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Tony Blair discussed a number of issues on bilateral cooperation by telephone on Thursday.
"Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the high tempo of dialogue between the two countries last year and hoped this dynamic will be further developed this year," Deputy Russian presidential Chief of Staff Sergei Prikhodko said after the meeting.
Prikhodko said the two leaders also discussed several international issues during their "extensive" conversation.
"Putin and Blair exchanged views on the upcoming G-8 summit scheduled for this summer," he said.
The two also paid attention to Russia's further involvement in world integration process when discussing economic issues, Prikhodko said.
