NE China Port City Sees More Visitors in Spring Festival Holiday
A total of 210,000 people from home and abroad visited Dalian, a port city in northeast China's
Liaoning
Province, during the week-long Spring Festival holiday.
According to the city tourism administration, Dalian earned more than 100 million yuan (US$12 million) in tourism income during the seven days.
Sources said that income from entrance tickets to local parks rose by more than 40 percent compared with the holiday period last year.
Dalian hosted a series of festive activities such as a fireworks show and a lantern show to entertain visitors.
