More Migratory Birds Seen in Chinese Capital

Thanks to efforts by the government and citizens of Beijing to protect the local environment, more migratory birds are enjoying their seasonal stay in the city.

According to experts from local wild animal protection stations, thousands of wild birds like terpsiphone, bombycilla garrulus, cissa erythrorhyncha, anas platyrhyncha and apus apus, which are mostly seen in mountain forests, have found their new homes around local lakes as well as parks.

To attract more migratory birds, local governments and residents have installed more than 65,000 artificial nests in trees and on buildings.
