Estrada Seeks Snap Presidential ElectionPhilippine President Joseph Estrada urged Congress to call a snap election to replace him after suffering a series of defections Friday from the military and his cabinet, a TV report said.Estrada was quoted by the country's biggest TV network ABS-CBN as saying that he would not run in the election which is believed to be the only way for Estrada to prevent his adversary, Vice President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, from being his successor.
