China Charity Federation Aids Blizzard-Stricken Inner Mongolia

By January 17, disaster relief funds and goods worth of 13.597 million yuan (approximately US$1.64 million) had been raised for China's disaster-hit Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the China Charity Federation (CCF) announced Saturday, January 20.

Following the heavy snows and sandstorms which blasted the region from December 31 to January 3, CCF called for emergency disaster relief efforts from its 110 member organizations.

Meanwhile, CCF has contacted various foreign charity agencies for possible disaster-relief assistance.

The group has also organized performances and campaigns to encourage donations.

CCF recently issued its donation accounts for the blizzard-hit region as follows:
