Yunnan Invites Foreign-funded Firms to Comment on Government Work
Southwest China's Yunnan Province launched a questionaire on Thursday to invite local foreign-funded enterprises to comment on the work of related government departments.
The survey, conducted by the provincial supervision bureau and the office in charge of foreign investment, asked foreign-funded enterprises to give comments and opinions on the work of 26 departments including the provincial planning committee, foreign economic and trade committee, financial department, land resources, industrial and commercial organs, environment protection management and foreign exchange management.
Sources said that the survey is expected to help improve the local investment environment and provide better services for foreign investors.
Statistics show that by the end of 2000, the province had set up 1,958 foreign-invested enterprises, involving US$1.35 billion in real terms.
