Representatives of students from 14 universities in Beijing put forward a proposal Thursday, calling for all university and secondary school students in China to promote science and resist cults.

The student representatives signed their names on the letter of proposal. The representatives are from such universities as Qinghua University, Renmin University and Beijing Normal University.

They call for students to take the lead in pursuing healthy life styles and participating in sound cultural and sporting activities during the Spring Festival holiday.
