Giant IT Company Opens E-Commerce Lab
Digital China, the e-commerce arm of China's top computer manufacturer Legend Group Corp, opened a new e-commerce laboratory Friday.
According to Digital China's vice-president Yu Lishan, the e-commerce lab is to become China's largest center of e-business application and development, providing effective solutions for the construction of information networks among domestic enterprises.
The US based software and hardware giant Sun and the world's second largest software provider Oracle provided technological backup for the lab.
The lab will focus on conducting research and development on e-commerce application techniques and providing training for enterprise staff, Yu noted.
Legend Group undertook major restructuring by dividing its business operations into two new companies last year, with one focusing on PC and information products and the other focusing on Internet-based services and products for e-commerce.
