CPPCC Reception for Widows of Celebrities
The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a reception Wednesday to extend spring festival greetings to widows of former members of CPPCC and celebrities.
Li Ruihuan, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the reception.
Li Guixian, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, expressed on behalf of the committee, heart-felt greetings to these senior ladies, wishing them health and happiness in the new year.
While summarizing the achievements China made last year, Li Guixian called on more efforts in promoting the modernization drive and the reunification of the motherland.
The reception was presided over by Zheng Wantong, secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee.
