The 4th China Beijing International High-tech Industries Week will be held in Beijing from May 10 to 15, 2001. At present, the preparatory work is on a smooth track. And up to now some 23 government delegations and chambers of commerce have registered to show up by then and they are from the US, Russia, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong and Macao SARs, etc.

Great success has been scored in the first three high-tech weeks. This one will be better than before featuring an accreted information, in which the Ministry of Information Industry is going to be a newly-added sponsor participating in the leading body of the International High-tech Week. In addition, the exhibition is also supported by some 20 international and foreign organizations, such as the UN Development Program.

As reported, the exhibition will take up an area totaling some 100 thousand sq. m, four times larger than the previous one, covering seven exhibition halls like China International Exhibition Center, Beijing Exhibition Hall, China Century Altar, etc.
