President Jiang Zemin Lauds Return of Spacecraft
Chinese President
Jiang Zemin
warmly congratulated the successful return of China's second unmanned spacecraft "Shenzhou II" Tuesday evening.
Jiang made a telephone call to Cao Gangchuan, general commander in charge of China's manned space flight program, immediately after hearing the news of the accurate return and successful landing of the spaceship, which was launched on January 10.
Jiang extended warm greetings to all the staff who have been involved in the development and flight of the spaceship.
