Chinese Foreign Minister Starts Visit to Angola

Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan arrived in Lunda on Monday for a two-day visit to Angola, with an aim to further develop the friendly Sino-Angolan relations.

Arriving at the Luanda International Airport, Tang said that with efforts from both sides, the visit will surely promote consultation, deepen friendship and expand cooperation between the two countries.

Developing friendly and cooperative relations not only corresponds to the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples but also benefits the reinforcement of solidarity and cooperation between China and Africa, the minister added.

During the visit, Tang will exchange views with his Angolan counterpart Joao Miranda on the bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.

The Chinese delegation headed by Tang arrived in Luanda after visiting Turkey, Libya, the Central African Republic, Cameroon and Gabon.
