Chinese Vice-Premier Meets Ecuadorian VisitorChinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen met with visiting Ecuadorian Vice-Foreign Minister Paulina Garcia and her party Tuesday.
Qian extended a warm welcome to Garcia. He voiced satisfaction over the progress of bilateral ties during the past 21 years since the forging of diplomatic relations, affirming the Chinese government is willing to strive for a long-term, stable and overall friendship in the 21st century through joint efforts.
Garcia expressed pleasure over the realization of her wish of visiting China. She praised China's progress in reform and opening up as well as in safeguarding human rights.
Ecuador is willing to further deepen its relations with China and form closer bilateral coordination in world affairs, she said.
