US Wideband Provider to Take Foothold in Guangdong

The American ADC, the world's largest wideband telecom equipment provider, has vowed to become more involved than ever in China's telecommunications infrastructure construction, especially in the south China market.

The company has contracted Guangdong Telecom to provide it with solutions for wideband linkage and network expansion.

Guangdong Province in south China is a pioneer in China's telecom industry development with the number of mobile phone subscribers in the province exceeding 10 million. Wideband technology is urgently needed to improve the capacity and articulation of the telecom network.

ADC has eyed China, where its products are seen in over 100 cities, as its major market. As a world-wide wideband transmission equipment supplier, ADC had a sales volume of US$3 billion last year.
