Chinese top legislator Li Peng met with Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Monday.
Li, chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress, China's top legislature, is on a week-long official goodwill visit to India. During his four-day stay in the Indian capital, Li met with Indian President K.R. Narayanan and Indian parliamentary and government leaders, and exchanged views with them on issues of shared interest.
Shortly after his meeting with Vajpayee, Li and his entourage left Delhi by special plane for the next stop of his India tour, the southern city of Bangalore.
